Problems after the upgrade

If you experience problems after our major upgrade, please reply here with a DETAILED description so I can fix it.

Detailed means which skin (Heritage, Dark, Light, etc), where it was at, and how to repeat it.

Issues found so far:


Portal Page does not work
Virtual Garage does not work
EEC Tuning Archive
Forum Tools doesn't drop down

I also get this error after trying to goto the virtual garage (which told me I do not have permissions) and then clicking on the home link at the top of the page.

Probably because it can't clear your old Cookie. Try deleting your cookies and logging back in.

I can't click on the forum tools and the search thingy. . .It usually gives a drop down box but it just aint happenin' . . . . not that I need it to work or anything. Just thought I would give you something else to do. ;)

From Firefox, IE, and Safari I see the button. Picture attached.

Yes, it is there in Safari. However, I prefer tabbed browsing in Firefox, so fix it, dammit! :jester: :D

Yeah, I just noticed that too. This is why I hate upgrades. To much crap to fix after its done. :doh:

Yep, it's funny how many things you forgot that you did, only to discover after an upgrade... :lol:

Or those neat little preferences that you get set JUST RIGHT, and when you upgrade they all go back to the OEM configuration...

Clear it in in IE and also any other browser you use. Make sure you are clearing offline content also when you do delete files. Also the CTRL+F5 works.

Nope, I tried to do both late Saturday night but one kept screwing up the other. I may have something whacked in the templates so it will be a bit while I sort out the issues.

I know that happened to me at Lee's house (I don't normally log out of the board anywhere else).

I didn't notice until the second time I got on that night.... I went to get back on the board and I noticed I was still logged in on his laptop. I was like, Hey, that could've been bad. :huh:

You have to click one of the other links first. Try clicking the "forums" link on the bar and then clicking "search".

I know it should work no matter what, but this should get you by in the meantime. :nice:

It will work the first time, but after your search results are displayed, you have to back up to the previous page to do another search.

In other words, perform a search and after you get your results hit the search button again at the top of the page. It won't work without backing up to the previous page

Also, the board is running SLOW for me tonight. And multiple times I've clicked on threads and it gives me "The Page Cannot Be Displayed" errors. :shrug:

I'm getting two strange items tonight. When I look at the index it will show a new thread but when I click on the sub forum it will not show the new thread. Also in my PMs it would not show today's at all it was showing yesterdays as todays instead. :shrug: Then I deleted one of yesterday's PMs and it showed today's actual. I don't get that crap!
