Don't know alot of stuff about the clusters in my 93 but could I use this part in my car to replace the 85 part? I heard you can just swap out the whole cluster and everything works right. Could this work? seems like a cheaper alternative to the dashes that are on ebay right now.

I am pretty sure that it will work

The clusters in airbag cars are shaped different at the bottom; i think this translates over to the tach and speedo gauges themselves. I'm thinking this won't fit in your cluster correctly.

However, if you can get it for $15, it would probably be worth it to try it out. Hell, you can always throw it back up on Ebay if it doesn't.

Would it not have to be recal?

The calibration is built into the speedometer itself. It should work correctly even if the previous gauge was an 85mph unit.

However, that one may need calibration, only because the auction states that it needs it (although I'm not sure how it would be out of calibration).
