Vortech Air Box??

Where the hell does this thing go?? It looks like a filter box to me, but it wont fit there. ??

When I bought the car, it was in a box in the back seat.

Here the way the intake is ran now.

Attached to the hose was the mass air then a tiny K&N filter.
