My car that is you perverts! I should be seeing my D1 kit in about a week. Got a used D1 kit with the sheet metal intercooler with 6k miles on the kit for $2,700 shipped. The only thing I think I will need is a 8 lb pulley and some bushing/spacer that goes on the mounting bracket for the head unit. It comes with a 10 and 15 lb pulley but the 10 lb isn't safe on stock internals is it?

Thanks guys, might get Marc with the blue/silver GT from J'ville Muffler(old high school friend) to help me put everything on, then take it to get tuned. Anyone heard anything good out of ProSpeed in the ATL area? They did my friends black Bullit running around here. He says the dude in the recent MMFF with the 1300 hp street driven notch works there...

I haven't heard anything about them (or the local Bullitt for that matter) until Marc mentioned both of them last night.

Yeah I took my car to Marc this morning to see if my xpipe had come loose after I shouldn't have driven it home 2 blocks from an xmas party... Everything was ok. Yeah Glen has an 01/02 Bullit with 18x9/10 anthracite deep dish fr500's. Already been mixed up as being him a few times already! He's cool I told him about this site and BM so maybe he will join. OK I am off to order the bushing I need and a new filter from Procharger!

I'd say mid-low 12's if you are running slicks.

I'd say mid-low 12's if you are running slicks.
With 400 rwhp, less weight than my car, and a live axle, I bet mid 12s are possible on street tires driving the piss out of it. I think high 11s might be possible on slicks.

QWKSNKE

mid to low 12's with traction and 10 psi of boost

true.

but you also had 4.30 gears

Rob went 12.0's with 400rwhp and decsent traction so mid 11's would be possible....with the right driver and good traction

TheJeanyus

My car has run 12.7 with a 2.1 60' and 400 rwhp, wheel hopping on the shift to 2nd gear. I figure his car is lighter and with slicks should be capable of 1.7 or better 60's. That's why I said 11s should be possible.

forgot about Rob's car. I'll agree. High 11's would be very likely

I agree with TheJeanyus and QWKSNKE.
That is, as long as you can drive better than me....
Oh yeah.....everybody can drive better than me....

Thinking with the gears and the S/C, traction will be hard to come by. Especially if you launch with any significant amount of boost. But, once it hooks....try to hang on.....you're gonna be in for a ride, and a very quick one at that....Slicks will be your friend.

Just be sure to get a really good tune, with the A/F ratio being below 12:1. That seems to be the hallmark for blown cars.
Guys, please correct me if I'm wrong here......
Not sure what the HP limit is for your motor, but am sure the guru's here will chime in with some good info

Remember I am fairly new to power adders so I know I need a boost gauge, fuel pressure and probably a a/f gauge as well right? Anything I am missing?

QWKSNKE
12-20-2005, 06:50 PM
you will need fuel system upgrades. Not sure what you are getting with the blower, but you will need larger fuel pump, injectors, another MAF.

Boost and fuel press you will need. What a/f gauge? Are you referring to the autometer gauge? If so, don't bother. Its worthless. You can look into getting a wideband setup but since you are paying someone to tune the car you don't really need it.

Who's tuning the car for you?

Yes, a boost gauge would be nice.....
Your tuner will have the A/F ratio set via the tune.

This is quoted from my email as to what it comes with:

" I had seen on the corral that you were interested in that procharger. I just bought a D1SC procharger w/3 core sheetmetal intercooler, 42lb. injectors, all pipes, hardware, instructions, 10 and 15lb. pulleys, 85mm C&L mass air meter, SCT chip for 15lb. pulley and race blow off valve. The supercharger has 6,000 miles on it. I need to sell it because I just bought a 04' YFZ 450 atv yesterday and my wife will not allow me to buy both. I'm selling it for $3000. If interested shoot me back an email, Thanks, Pete" So looks like I will need it tuned for the 10 lb pulley and a fuel pump, guages, etc... Can't wait!
