Anyone know where to buy a rebuild kit for a SOHC weedeater? I'm thinking about buying a junkyard motor and rebuilding it for the 'bird, then swapping it in place of the tired 250,000-ish mile motor that is in it.

It'll be a while - I'm just sort of throwing ideas around and seeing what kind of $$$ I'm looking at.

I can piece parts together from my suppliers but there is nothing in "kit" form.
I haven't rebuilt a mod motor yet but if like the pushrod HO 5.0 then there is a good chance you could pattern hone the block, reuse the pistons....if good....

I'd be sure that covers the year of your car. It said 95-98.

Beware of some of the Summit "brand" kits....they don't always have the greatest parts included in them.
I am picky about which bearings and rings I use...some of their stuff is OK but when putting kits together they often go for the cheapest stuff ;)

What wrong with speed pro and federal mogul parts? Worked fine for me.
