If you were to freshen up your valve train with new springs, rockers, pushrods, and lifters ... would you stick with 1.6 rocker ratio or move up to 1.7 / 1.73 with a .498 lift cam?

i have 1.7's with my b-cam and really like it.... So are you just gonna use the valve springs and stuff that you had for sale........ Easiest way to get your money back outta them...

95GTMAN was the one that had the Trickflow vave spring kit for sale.

by the way, you shouldn't need pushrods or lifters to do this. Just upgrade the valve springs. That is the only requirement

the stock length pushrod's will work with the 1.7's?

and how much of a benefit will upgrading be in the end?

yes they will. On stock heads its hard to say what the benefit would be. I feel pretty confident in saying that while peak hp numbers may not change as much as you would like, the entire rpm range would change a pretty good bit.

Does that make sense?

For example, my b cam with 1.7's on my stock motor in the cobra....

Peak power #'s only changed around 10rwhp, but if you compared the entire rpm curves from stock cam to the b cam, the power changed significantly on low end and high rpm. Which make a difference at the track.

yeah, kinda like when I got the chip on my old car ... only saw a little over 10 hp/13 ft-lbs at peak but the mid range saw a gains of over 20 hp/30 ft-lbs
