I ran a fel pro 1011-? with my iron heads, but what gasket do i need for aluminum heads? It isn't the same gasket is it, i think i remember reading somewhere there were different because of the expansion rates.

Also i am fine with just running a stardard fel-pro on the intake such as a 1250 right?

Anything else you guys can point out tha i need to be careful with when installing aluminum heads on the car? Any specific exhaust bolts or gaskets that i need to run. I haven't had any kind of heads like this before so i am just trying to get the run down on what i need to order to put them on...

I have arp head bolts, it is fine to reuse them correct?

thanks

A Felpro 9333 works too. It's a graphite. nice gasket.

Yeah, but they suck if you ever have to remove the head.... lots of scraping. :notnice:

1011-2's and get either a 1250 or 1262 intake gasket(depending on how the heads are ported)

Someone told me to have the heads "cleanup milled" will this lower the combustion chamber cc's any more.....or will i be fine with cleaning them up some kind of other way...? I planned on having the machine shop check them for straightness etc... any other things i should look out for or do.....

Don't really want to have them milled anymore..... unless i am misunderstanding what they are talking about...

If you are NA or nitrous, stay with the 1011-2. They haev a compressed thickness of .039" The 9333PT-1 is better for boosted cars because of it's solid construction, and it has a compressed thckness of .049". Running the 9333 will drop your compression and hurt the quench.

No need to mill them unles syou want to raise compression that way. I would have them checked out, and if they need to be milles, only take off the minimum.

with aluminum heads its better safe than sorry...have them checked and if needed milled at least .010 that will drop the size of the combustion chamber but it wont be to drastic...
