I am after the specifications of the VSS signal that the A9L requires. Our Australian 5L's run a different VSS sensor with a single wire output and a 0-0.7v square wave output which the A9L isn't picking up. So if anyone could provide the typical voltage output that your US sensors run, or the minimum voltage that the EEC needs that would help a great deal. Also is the VSS- just a ground reference?

It is suposed to be 125khz at 55mph on pin 6 of the 89-93 Mustang

The stock computer assumes 8000 pulses per mile

Thanks for that, looks like the frequency matches up nicely and just voltage or possibly wiring are the only differences. I actually tested the wrong VSS sensor and my VSS outputs a 0 to +10v signal and is wired to pin 6 of the EEC. I thought that it should be moved to pin 3 and then ground pin 6, as the wiring diagram I have for the A9L says that pin 3 is VSS+ and pin 6 is VSS-/ground. With the current VSS output hooked up to pin 6, and pin 3 with no wiring to it, the EEC does not register the signal so either the voltage or wiring must be wrong. Any ideas?
