what kind of $ are we talking to single turbo a fox? every now and then i get to reading about JY turbo setups and these custom fab guys and am amazed. but the never seem to put a final dollar price on their builds. i also came across this site http://ziptie007.phpwebhosting.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=69&products_id=213. seems like a decent price for a compete kit.

Here are the basic prices I have came up with for a twin kit. They are not the gosphel, but rough estimates.

New t3 turbos with 1 year warranty $500 to $700 each (smaller ones have internal wastegate)
or
New Mitsu 16g turbos with 1 year warranty $500 each
Piping $300 to $500 depending on size, material, and number of bends
Various ends, flanges, clamps, and so forth $100 to $500
Intercooler $300 to $600 depending on core used and size
Tial blow off valve $215
injectors $500
Intank Fuel pump $125
Secondary inline pump ???? havent looked up a price yet

Cant think of anything else I have checked on right now. But I did finally learn to make good mudslide :jester:

You can build your own single system with a MP T70 brand new for about $1200.

Jeff(owner) is a great guy. He seems to be coming through on all promises he makes with these kits. Just keep in mind, sure that's a good price, but it's a tuner kit. You still have to get your injectors, mass air, fuel pumps etc.

Not sure if you know but www.turbomustangs.com has a wealth of knowledge on turbo kit companies and DIY stuff. ;)

A guy I kow got the B&G kit (turbomustangs.com) with the MP T70. He had to tie it into the exhaust and run an intake-pipe. Non-intercooled, it's been 10's and was around $2k for the kit & extras.
Gotta consider a 255 pump, 42# injectors, and all other supporting hardware too though...He already had that stuff.

thanks for the info guys. turbomustangs is where i do most of my reading. i am amazed at the things they build there and then i remember that i have the mechanical abilities of a drunk toddler and :( .

flashbang - i have read that sn-95 guys can and cannot flip their shorties and have them work. which is true?

joker - you have a pretty detailed list there for a guy who wants to stay stock :)

coupe - what do those parts run?

Simply looking at different options. The car is going back stock for now, except for .040 over bore and cam. When I sit and look at a turbo kit, they just dont look that hard to fab, other than running the pipes.

If you can cut & weld skillfully, you will save the most money. If you need to buy a fabbed-kit, you will have $2500 in it before it runs...easy.
A turbo for a V8 car will run around $600 at least...up to $1500. That's the turbo alone...don't buy a used one off ebay...heck, I wouldn't recommend ebay for a turbo at all.

i appreciate the support but i would not even where to start, the things you build in your garage are amazing. the things i build in mine usually fall apart or worse :bomb:

EDIT: even something as non-pretty as this is way out of my league

I am 90% sure the front frame rail/shock tower would interfere. Don't quote me on this.

i have read it both ways so I do not know either.

the mod motor guy i read about today just left them as is and made 2 180 degree bends to get them going the right way

you could buy a used kit, it would including electronics, fuel needs etc. usually.. i have seen the fox kits go for around 2k for a complete used setup.
