Retorque qeustion???

On the upper head bolts, i torqued them more b/c that is what it called for, said it would be mad up by intake tightening. So now that the intake is on the car if i have to retorque them(or as i check them) do i torque them the same as the lowers or hold the same as i initially torqued them b/f the intake bolted down?



probably a stupid question, i would think with the intake bolted down that i would just make sure all bolts are the same as the lowers were initially.


Also how critical is this, to retorque after the first heat cycle, it is a :fuss: to get that edelbrock upper back off.

Did you use ARP hardware?

yeah ARP..... i already checked the torque and i guess i took the intake, valvec overs etc. off for nothing it was spot on. :fuss:

I generally never retoqued, unless copper head gaskets are used.
