There are 2 freeze plugs in the back of the block, and have seen a few blocks crack on the rear water jacket on the driverside. Just a thought.

It's been a few months for me, but I think I would be a good opponent. ;)

I would like to take part in that contest too ;)
How did you seal up the water jackets?
FWIW I always use the copper high temp sealent, and put a bead on both sidea of the gasket, and have never had one leak on me to date.

Hey since you don't have intake studs that would knock about 20min off my time. I'm up for it :nice:

yeah id probably lose... it seems i screw at least one thing up every time anyway...
for me...i usually seal it up with the 4 piece rubber intake gasket, and ultra black... which is the high temp silicone... on both sides... but i didnt this time... yay... so i tore it down... drained about a gallon of antifreeze out of the oil pan... and refilled it with 3 quarts of oil... put it back together and started it... and it ran for a minute...(1 minute) gonna wait till tommorrow, and check the oil for water again... and replace filter and oil, and try it again... but i took it down and put it all back together AGAIN today...
