how hard is it to change plugs in a 2004 GT. looks like i have to remove the fuel rail. anyone got any suggestions?

You don't have to remove the fuel rails. It's a lot simpler than you think. Takes a 1/4" ratchet and either a 8MM or a 10MM. Unplug each coil pack and then pull them off. They are flexible enough to pull out. Then get a 3/8" ratchet with a spark plug socket and a 6" extension and you can get right on them.

It looks a lot more complicated than it is because of the location but I think these plugs are easier to change than the 5.0s. Just be careful not to let any dirt drop down in there. That sucks.

Nah... we don't have to use any tools to remove the plug wires -- and we don't need any extensions to get to the plugs. :P

It isn't that bad, last week I checked all of mine because I have had the imfamous "ticking" sound on my '02 GT. Wanted to make sure I didn't have a plug popped out or on its way to being popped out.
