What's up with the site today? It's taking anywhere from 30-90 seconds to load a single page. It's been this way all morning long.

Yeah, I've been wondering the same thing.

No problems here? If you are on a Bellsouth connection, they are having switch issues in Birmingham. My IP phone system has been on the blink because of it.

I don't believe so. I'm Marietta, GA and they have a MCI based T1. I remoted into my machine also (Charter) and I'm having the same issue. My mother in Hoover is also on Charter and having trouble.

Not sure then, it's flying here on Charter/Knology/DeltaCom.

It's running smoothly for now. If I see it start acting up again I'll look into it further than just complaining.

I had issues where I couldn't pull the site up at all about an hr ago. Seems to be working normal now

I turned it off for a minute to add a logger for inbound traffic. Right now I am reading some interesting traffic coming from Atlanta and Mobile. Seems to be some "weather" on the intArweb.

I figured it out. All the immigrants that aren't working today are to blame! They aren't spinning the wheels to keep the interweb going!

:D

Found this on another forum/host server, I thought it was revelant:

Almost every site I post on is slow or screwed up today, both at home and at work. CC.com was down for a while this AM, and an hour ago, S2ki just went down, a Golf site I visit "had their (not my, their) account suspended," a Navy BB has had zero traffic all day...

What the hay is going on?

In the words of Stan Smith, "Who's manning the internet?"

Who do you think is pedaling the coconut Schwinn providing power for the servers?
