Special thanks to QWKSNKE for inviting me over here. I've been in Bama about 5 years now thanks to Honda. I'm a Powder Springs, GA boy originally, spent many nights at Dallas drag strip, and yes I was at Turkey Foot in its prime, till they started riding thru shooting guns. Anybody remember that? Haven't done much racing since I moved here but that's about to change.:metal:

I need your help finding the more reputable speed shops here local, I really don't want to drive back and forth to Atlanta. Looking to build a race/ very streetable car looking to go 8.5 to 9.25 range in 1/4.
Starting out something like this:
90-93 Fox Coupe (Looking for Titanium Frost exterior/ Black interior)
88-96mm thumper turbo w/ IC
9.5 Windsor
Dedenbear PG Tran

Anyone with info hit me up, I'm on here daily now

Pleasure making your acquaintance......

Man....You folks know how to make someone feel Welcome around here....:hail: :hail: :hail: It hasn't been 12 hours yet and the posts & PM's are still coming in. Thanks to all for saying Howdy.... I'll do my part with letting you know how the car building is going so look for me in the 5.8 section in the future.

Where do I start....
Italian LX - It's stroked already. 399" Victor 7721 headed engine 9.5" S-351 Siamese block This engine has gone 8.20s at 160+ mph with a D3 blower. I was told 10s on motor.. I'm tuning it down to be more of a streetable motor this go round. Built for me by Cornett Racing Engines Somerset, Kentucky. This time it will be Turbo. Thanks for posting the pics for me.

TheJeanyus - you might consider it a double fister if you know what I mean...lol...

rtusnake - I'm close to the Civic Center in PC

coupe - Would love to talk Turbo anytime

Anyone that has good deals (new or used) or knows of any post them up in the Classifieds section I'll be looking

Steve

I've talked to Chris Cornett, they have one helluva crankshaft manufacturing operation...I think it's the same outfit.

So the setup you show is in that Saleen?
Is it a running all-motor car as of now, or unfinished?
What do you have and what do you lack?

Coupe - The Saleen is ALL original the same way it came from John Bleakley Ford with 45K miles on it. There's no way I would want to mess that up.

Chris Cornett I'm not sure on. Jack the owner of Cornett Racing and Sharad were the one's I worked with.

I'm looking for another 90-93 coupe to build with the same color scheme as my Saleen (Titanium Frost/ Black). Not only do I want to build a race car, My main goal is to build it with A/C and I've been told that's a real possibility. I made friends with Chris Beningo (http://www.nmraracing.com/forums/showthread.php?p=229743#post229743) (The Evil Twin Mustang). I bought my motor from him and sent it to Cornett's for refresh. He's giving me guidance on my setup.
