Get a voltmeter and check the wire at different points as you try to start it. Start from the starter and trace it back. If there's 12-volts at the starter, then the starter is bad... if there is 0-volts at the starter and 12-volts at one side of the solenoid, then the solenoid is bad... etc, etc, etc.

well i know from experience i had a 78 f100 for years they are bad about the ignition box going bad that's the silver looking box on the front fender wheel or the firewall just depends on how the engine compartment is laid out. hope this helps can usually pick one of these up used for like 15 bucks.

Ignition box would not cause it not to turn over. Might try to jump out starter solenoid to see if starter engages.

I had a 77 Granada when I was in high school and when mine went out it wouldn't do anything when you turned the key
