:werd:

Looks like you guys are making quick progress. I guess we'll all be going to the track again soon. :burnout:

It is one of my main goals to whip a certain sonic blue supercharged GT's arse. .... and we owe SINFUL another run :metal:

I have to give it to Jonathon, once he sets his mind on something there is no stopping him until he's finished ..... however, he tends to get a bit testy when he's working on vehicles. :D

Well, ran into a clearance issue and I'm having a part next day air'ed to me ... so completion has been pushed back one more day.

Now playing the waiting game for the intake spacer to show up. And I've got to replace the distributor thanks to a careless room-mate :bs:

..... and you have some cleaning up to do on it. That engine looks like sheot. :nono:

Good thing it's got a cowl hood on it, with that inch spacer coming there's no way the upper intake would have fit under a stock hood - It would have been a close fit without a spacer.

:nono: just because the intake was hiding all the dirt. :tard:

a side note: don't biotch about the state of a product until you see it finished. :poke: :poke:

I see the N2O solenoids are still there -- are there plans to spray it in the future? :nx:

there will have to be somethings moved around to hook the bottle back up .. because they are no longer mounted to the sway bar the line from the bottle isn't long enough, nor is the purge line.

Minus the cam, the B303 is still in this car.

Got Boost?

are you going to get it dyno'd? if you are ill be very interested, close to what i plan on building in about a year.

Looks like a good time. Did you already have everything on another car or did you pick it up used? Up here in PA we have the nasty salt winters. So mine will be parked in the garage and the motor pulled out. Engine bay cleaning and motor re-building is comming. I have never asked for a cold early winter but this year I am. HAHA

She had it on her 89 GT. Yes it will be on the dyno at some point in the future.

Now you just gotta get an aftermarket mass air meter to finish it off.

She's gonna try the C&L again before buying another MAF

:yup:

But unfortunately the 89 got rear ended 2 weeks after the kit was installed.

guess we'll find out later anyway.

got it running smooth now; had to play nice because of the wet roads, but can already tell it has a lot more power .... just doesn't want to idle ... Trying to sort that out now.

Got Boost?

the C&L's cause problems? anyone have some more info about this?

1sicklx

Got the idle set now ... all done.

I've only had first hand experience with the one that Tracie had on her GT and after it was installed the car would periodically miss under load. That is the only thing good or bad I can really say about it ... as pointed out earlier we didn't really have time to try and sort out the issues or do any extensive testing.

 Periodically? Seems like I remember it was a constant missing along with never being able to get it to idle correctly.

It, for the most part, missed under load usually above 3000 rpm

We (Italian LX and I) have seen at least 3 C&L meters cause problems with missing or inconsistency of power in the power band at WOT which is why we don't sell their MAFS any more

yeah i heard someone else mention that they had problem with a C&L...do you suggest me buying a different MAF for my build up (kit includes a C&L) if so, which brand do you suggest?
