the 5.4 broke a rod when my dumass self let this supposed friend drive it. so i'm building a bigger badder motor for it.

pa racing k-member and a-arms, kyb gr-2 struts, mmr coil overs. the factory stuff was a pain in the butt to get off. but not to hard to get in, i think i have it squared right also.

well today i picked up some cool stuff to get this show on the road new block, forged crank, heads with stage 3 comp cams, over sized valves, titanium springs and retainers. also arp main studs to keep this puppy back together...

I would guess he probably went with a 2V because it's a lot more affordable. Just find a cheap motor out of a wrecked F150.

It was stock. I still have the 4.6 in. As soon as I finish the cage, I'll be pulling the 4.6 and sending the 5.4 block to the machine shop and the heads to Boss330....mo money:rolleyes:

ok, so i finally got the k-member in and bolted up. dropped the motor in and it looks really good in there. the deep sump canton oil pan sits nicely behind the lower cross member.

not really. the adapters don't interfere with them so they are easier then the 4.6 cus the fuel rail is 1.5 inches higher out of the way.

right now it's the adapters and a PI intake. i need a lower lightning and my welder gassed up to make a custom one.

anyone that has replaced headers on a 4.6 can understand the fun i had today putting these on the 5.4. even with the tubular k-member the top bolts were extremly hard to get to. my knuckles feel it already.

the zoom quadrant and adjustable cable seem to short. i might just put the stock ones back on to get it driveable. but i do have one coming in tomarrow.

if u look at the vid at the bottom of my project page, it idles alot better now and can be driven up the street. just need help adjusting the clutch since this is my first aftermarket one

not on the old 5.4 setup. hps is making a 5.4 intake that will be out soon. if i ever quit changing parts i'll get it to the dyno.

right now i have some hedman long tubes an made them fit by cutting them up and rewelding them to make them fit. thats is all on them right now, open headers. i'm gonna finish the rest of the exhaust this week....

the sump i got from seco for like 55 bucks and had todd at no limit industries in pelham tig it for me. i powdercoated it on the underside to match the plastic cover since i'll have to cut part out for the sump to poke thru.

those are both -8 feed lines. i got the fitting that plugs into the factory hard line. so the return line now is the old feed line.....

Doing my fuel system the same as yours I believe. Looks like your feeding a y block to the rear of the rails, from the front of the rails to each side of the regulator? What type of regulator is that?
