I just bought a set of new proform crome valve covers for my 93 GT. I think that I screwed up though. I think I accidently purchased valve covers for a carburated engine and not fuel injected. Both valve covers have holes in the top! The left side for the oil fill tube and the right valve has a hole for a air breather tube! This is not right for my application is it! Someone help! I'm such an idiot! The box said ford v8 302!

Any aftermarket valve cover you buy will be like that.

With these valve covers your oil fill will be on the driver's side now. For the passenger side hole I would either install a plug or a dummy PCV

Unless you buy TFS covers ... then you drill you're own hole. :chug:

Jeez. That would suck even more

It was an inconvenience, but at least you get to choose where to put the fill tube.

What the H---? Where do you get a dummy PCV? I'm sorry for my ignorance, but I've never heard of that! LOL . To install this PCV, wouldn't I have to cut off the metal plate that is inside the cover or is this a plug that looks like a PVC? Thanks for all your help!!

Couldn't you just put a breather in?

Couldn't you just put a breather in?

If he could find one small enough to not interfere with the throttle body bracket

You can get a plug that will fit in there as an extra oil fill, most auto parts stores have them in the help section.

Thanks people! It sounds easier to do that! I appreciate it!

Oh yeah..

By 'dummy pcv' I meant just installing one and not hooking it up to anything. Basically, just using it as a plug
