I have tried 3 intercoolers on my svo and will be tring #4 in a few weeks.
The stock ic is just for looks on low psi.
I used a supercoupe IC for a while and it did a very good job. Would cool the air from 215 down to 125 on a 90* day at lower speeds. This was at 20 psi.
I am running a mid size npr intercooler now but I don't think it is man enough for the job.
Found one on ebay that I liked. Was used on a 98 cobra and should fit the front of my svo with no problem. May even add a fan on it to help air flow.
Any one else have a IC setup to post about?

I talked to the guy and he got it off ebay a while back. Was told it was from a kenny bell setup. Looks like some of his stuff.
I was looking for a turn back made for it. The ones on ebay were around $225 made like it.

GT, how much you want to spend. Send me a pm and we'll talk. It's in good shape. just want to clean up my engine bay and rount the pipes another way.

Had to take the fenders and front off to fix a aw-crap I had. Here is a pic of the IC installed on the 84 svo. I also had to drive it up the road to the 1/4 I have. Highway with very little traffic on it. Did a 0 to 84 mph then back to 0 in it. Sucker stops on a dime now. It was close to 1/4 mile so in my mind I am king here. Drove it hard on the way home to. Jumped out and felt of the IC hose. Cool to the touch going to the intake. Good IC.

Did you remove the pics that were originally in this thread?

Reviving this thread because I will looking into a front mount setup in the next month or so. I leaning heavily on the Stinger kit because the way work has been I don't have time to build a bunch of piping like I did on the 93 when I had the procharger setup.
I want something that looks nice and works efficiently. And no I am not looking to spend a grand on it either.

no. I don't think it would work very well. If I am not mistaken those are liquid cooled.

AHHHH,ok!,I was thinking they were air to air.

It is air to air. 2.375 hole in and out. flows better than most and cools better than most. I ran one for a while. Just hard to pipe because of the angle of the ic inlet. You can do the rad and ic setup.

Location of the 2.3 turbo makes routing a nightmare. Front mounts end up with 8-10 feet of cold-piping. I always wanted to mount an SVO turbo up front somewhere and cleanup the whole engine bay; but it would require some major exhaust work.
