ok now i need some motor mounts, but i dont know if the stock 5.0 mounts will work or i need to get some special mounts? but as i recall the bottom end on the 351 has the same style bottom end like the 302. but we swapped out a 289 for a 351 in a 68 mustang and every thing fit in there like a glove, even the stock motor mounts from the 289 bolted on the 351.

also will a stock style 5.0 flywheel and clutch assembly work on the 351 conversion, and i have a t-5 transmission that came out of a 95 mustang. is there anything there i need to change to adapt it to the 351?

The 351W uses the same motor mounts as the 302. Some people used solid drop mounts with the 351 to allow more hood clearance; if you use standard mounts, you will surely need some sort of cowl hood.

The flywheel size, bolt pattern, and tooth count are identicle between the two. Typically, the only difference is the balance; 5.0L motors are 50oz. and the 351W is usually a 28oz. Just make sure your flywheel balance matches your crank/harmonic balancer weights.

On a side note, a lot of aluminum flywheels come zero balanced and have bolt-on weights for 28 and 50 ounce motors.
