I have a lead on a computer but it is a 8LD which according to this site (http://fordfuelinjection.com/?p=17) says it is out of a 88-93 CA Mustang with a manual. I know CA cars are different but should the computer be different too? I can get this for a steal compared to an A9L computer but just not sure if it will cost me in the long run?
AND MY BRAKES ARE STILL NOT HERE :banghead:

The only difference in CA cars is that they were MAF equipped in 1988 whereas the rest of the mustangs did not come equipped until 1989.
FWIW, I just installed a A9S EEC in my cobra a week or so ago and plan to use it with my PMS.

I saw an article in a 2001 issue of ff&mm that showed how to convert your lincoln mark vii over to mass air using a mass air harness, a stock meter, and mass air computer, also showed a mark vii with a 6 speed installed

the mag made a reference to a project car they were doing a white mark vii lsc.
i remember reading a sentence that said "we could do a 5 speed with one the available kits but we are going to stay with a well built aod"
you might find a kit for a 5 speed conversion.
