I think Kenne Bell makes the only one for a pushrod.
You can get a powerdyne centrifugal kit for around that price too. They are very nice, I drove one back in about 1997 on a stock 5.0LHO with 3.55 gears and a catback...Very quiet, refined power adder. And the often feared "belt drive" hasn't really been a dependability problem.

I am curious on why you would want a low end power blower for a 5.0?

:agree: 5 liters don't need the low end boost. The reason they're so popular on mod motors is that a, mod motors lack low end torque, and b, it's a direct replacement for the Eaton on a '03 Cobra.

It's also by far the ugliest blower setup I have ever seen (the 5.0 version that is). :puke: A Vortech S trim would be a great blower for a moderate street setup with a stock shortblock.

could be rear gearing doesn't match the current engine combo, could be timing is off a little, etc.

Is this an auto or a 5-speed car?

What cam and intake are on your setup? Both of those could be the reason for the lack of power under 2000 rpms, but honestly when do you do any spirited driving under 2000 rpms?

Hi all,

I really like my KB Blowzilla. On the street the low to mid torque is awesome and makes the car fun to drive. I'm running 8 psi on 91 Octane and it works great. You just have to learn how to feather the throttle on launches or my Drag Radials go up in smoke :jester:

Doesnt a 2valve modular put out MORE torque than a 5.0?

im runn9ing all fac internal with mufflers and a filter thats it and i thought the timing was controlled by computer because someone told me i couldnt adjust timing using a light and twisting distributor

not hardly

90-93 were rated 275 ft/lbs and 300 ft/lbs.

97-98 300 ft/lbs. @ 4800rpms

99+ 302+ ftlbs @ ~4000 rpms

What do 5.0s typically peak at?

Average 5.0 usually peaks rear wheel torque around 285-290 below 4000 rpm. Only reason I posted rwtq numbers is because I don't recall what the advertised rating was.

The 93-95 cobras torque peaked around 4200 rpm and was advertised at 290 tq. My car in stock trim actually put 290 torque at the tires when I bought it in 1998.
In regards to the 99-up they were closer in peak torque #'s as the 5.0's but they made it higher in the rpm while the standard 5.0 made it lower

Yea I knew you said it needed the lower end torque so I was trying to figure out what everything peaked at.

Peak torque numbers don't mean very much. 5.0's make more torque at low rpms than mod motors, and the total area under the torque curve is much higher.

yes. As long as you have a timing light to see where you are setting it

Yep. Just make sure you pull the SPOUNT connector out while you're setting the timing.
