A 4" hood is pretty big. If I had a choice, a 2.5" is as big as I would go. I think it looks agressive enough without being out of place. For some reason, I believe an overly large hood only looks good if there is a reason behind it.

Here's what my 4" looks like:

Whatever hood you do choose, I would highly recommend getting either Cervini or Kaenan. Get the Cervini if you like a show quality with the smooth underside; get the Kaenan if you want a lighter hood with a perfect fit.

Big hoods make 'verts look nose heavy to me. I agree with Brian - 2.5" is as far as I would go unless you need it for clearance like that monster of his. :metal:

Another option is www.hofibertrends.com . This company actually made all the hoods for Ford for the '95 Cobra R's.

It's very light but doesn't have a finished, smoothed underside like the Cervini's. But fit and finish is perfect.

I agree that 2-2.5 is the most I would go with unless you have to have something bigger.

I may sell my 2" hofiber hood if I buy another hood. I should know in a couple weeks

I've seen a few of these hoods and they are top notch! They make a great svo hood for my car.

I guess that did sound kind of funny.

. . . but I didn't have a choice due to my engine height. ;)
