When I got the C/A's installed, I was told that the pinion angle changed slightly. I understand this is for better launches, but my question is will that cause any harm to the rear end, or driveshaft, or anything else, for that matter??

I was curious, b/c there is a slight "shake/vibration" in 1st gear(very brief), but it doesnt do it any other time, except in reverse. Also, Is this due to the C/A's, and the newer heavier clutch being installed all at once??

Thanks. :chug:

Changing pinion angle shouldn't be a problem unless it was changed too much. I know that Nathan has did a lot of reading on pinion angles when he was doing his 3 link, and Craig posted a lot in that thread, too.

What is your pinion angle now?

If the UCA's have Poly bushings: 2.5 to 3 degree's down is optimal
If they have solid bushings : 1 to 1.5 degree's down

down = towards the ground, as in the pinion is rotating towards the ground.

*Note: These settings are based on Ford's original 4-link (Quadrabind) design.

:dunno: ...............they're poly bushings tho.
