i have an '87 GT hatch ; would 4 cyl. springs be good enough or would it be better for me to go with a fullout drag suspension! and how else could i get into the mid to low 12's N/A or what would be the best way and how much HP can my stock bottom end withstand? thanx!

I was told that there is no difference in the 4 cyl. and V8 spring. They have the same part number.

4 cyl springs and Lakewood 90/10s rock! I had that as well as no sway bar and it was smoother than stock (more body roll during turns tho, but I had skinnies anyway), and it transferred like a mofo. I got down to 12.7s N/A on DRs before going all tubular. Cant beat them for the price. Dont get Moog springs. Raised my car like 3 inches!! Got some from the junk yard for like $15 and the gave my car a sick stance...

If you're launching hard on sticky tires, I'm a HUGE fan of anti roll bars. But get a good one. Avoid UPR type bars. Get Wolfe, Team Z, etc. More $$$, but they dont rattle around. That made a big difference when I started running slicks. My car is so uneventful at launch. Tires dont leave the ground, car barely squats but I would get 1.53 short times.
