do you have to rebreak in a clutch when you already broke it in once..when you replace the flywheel

the two surfaces clutch to flywheel need to be mated.so i guess the answer would be yes in my opinion...i would drive 200 to 300 miles of normal (legal) street driving. The purpose of breaking in a clutch is to engage the disc in a controlled, consistent manner to ensure the disc, pressure plate and flywheel all make full surface contact. It's also a chance for the friction material to experience normal heat cycles.

cool...i was just wondering tho cause the clutch was broken in once before...i didnt know if i had to go the whole 500 miles or what...thanks for the info...it seems this is the only place with such a thing
