Boport on turboford.org has been making power out of these for a while now.
I spent about 30 hours on my head and its stilll nothing compaired to the work he does. Smooth and ease the turns. Polish the valve area and the chamber. Stronger valve springs and 3 angle valves. Do most of the work on the exhaust side. I will try to get some pics in the next few days. |

I got to watch what I say from now on.
http://www.sa-motorsports.com/diyport.shtm Lots of good info here. Its all about flow in the valve area. tight turns and edges make drag that slows down the air travel. This will be my next buy I hope. Rapido 2.3L Turbo Aluminum Cylinder Head http://rapidogroup.com/newprod.htm#cylinderhead |

Yes, High price and still has to be sent out to be ported to flow better than the iron head. Weight loss on top of the engine is a plus.
Thats why I still have 4 iron heads in my shop as backups. |

Here is a few pics of one of the 2 i ported for my old 2.3 this one was cracked.I have some close ups of one of bo ports heads that i had.Really don't know about posting them because its his work.I would probly take the head and have the exhaust ports milled first.Doing that it is a lot less work.
