I'm one of the worlds worst about not wanting to pay somebody to do things I could potentially do myself, but after assisting with the heater core R&R on an Explorer/Ranger when I was still at the dealership, I'm not looking forward to doing one ever again. Now, on my 89 Ranger, its a no brainer... remove some screws and the hoses and slide it out of the bottom of the dash. $300 is a lot better than the $500 I was told when I was getting trade offers for cars with busted heater cores.

Just finished doing one for a tahoe last weekend. Alot worse than a mustang lol

My 91 F-150 was a twenty minute job. Too bad that access panel didn't carry over to the mustang :(
