Probably will be down as well maybe. Usually head down every other weekend or so

Cool man. Is your car down there getting the turbo setup done?
|
Not yet, still waiting for the block to come back from the machine shop
|
that's pretty sweet man, what did you use to cut out the holes? Trial and error? Just wondering cause it looked pretty precise.

Got some tunes now!
Low budget system, but it sounds pretty damn good. I had everything except the head unit already. I sold a couple things on ebay awhile back and made enough to cover the price of a Pioneer receiver. I put one in my wife's civic and really liked the power, iPod controls, remote, etc...
Before http://i535.photobucket.com/albums/e...5/IMG_1845.jpg After http://i535.photobucket.com/albums/e...5/IMG_1896.jpg The front speakers are Infinity Reference 5-1/4" components I had in the rear deck of the Civic but never sounded right. I replaced them with some Rockford Fosgate 6x9s and her car bumps now. Before http://i535.photobucket.com/albums/e...5/IMG_1850.jpg After http://i535.photobucket.com/albums/e...5/IMG_1868.jpg The tweeters are mounted in the dash and the woofers are in flush-mount MDF rings painted with rattle-can bedliner. http://i535.photobucket.com/albums/e...5/IMG_1869.jpg Crossovers are mounted in the dash, the passenger side in the glovebox area and the driver's side against the firewall pad inside the dash speaker hole. http://i535.photobucket.com/albums/e...5/IMG_1872.jpg http://i535.photobucket.com/albums/e...5/IMG_1873.jpg The rear speakers were free and came out of the car I got the dash & center console out of. I just cut out the package tray cover I made and pulled/stapled the fabric under. http://i535.photobucket.com/albums/e...5/IMG_1937.jpg http://i535.photobucket.com/albums/e...5/IMG_1939.jpg http://i535.photobucket.com/albums/e...5/IMG_1940.jpg |
Looks good. I bet those sound alot better than stock speakers

I'd like to put some speaker grilles on the rear deck, but there's no such thing as 6x8 grilles since they're only for Ford/Mazda factory installs...so they never come with grilles. I might end up getting some MDF rings made, cover them with speaker fabric, & mount them to the package tray. My brother was giving me a hard time about it looking ghetto-fab. :jester: |
