that's pretty sweet man, what did you use to cut out the holes? Trial and error? Just wondering cause it looked pretty precise.

Just used calipers to measure what size I needed and drew it out on the plate. The round holes were done w/ a step drill and filed to fit for the heater switch. I cut the opener square w/ a dremel and cutting discs, then used mini files to make the cutouts for the rest.

Low budget system, but it sounds pretty damn good. I had everything except the head unit already. I sold a couple things on ebay awhile back and made enough to cover the price of a Pioneer receiver. I put one in my wife's civic and really liked the power, iPod controls, remote, etc...

The front speakers are Infinity Reference 5-1/4" components I had in the rear deck of the Civic but never sounded right. I replaced them with some Rockford Fosgate 6x9s and her car bumps now.

The tweeters are mounted in the dash and the woofers are in flush-mount MDF rings painted with rattle-can bedliner.

Crossovers are mounted in the dash, the passenger side in the glovebox area and the driver's side against the firewall pad inside the dash speaker hole.

The rear speakers were free and came out of the car I got the dash & center console out of. I just cut out the package tray cover I made and pulled/stapled the fabric under.

Looks good. I bet those sound alot better than stock speakers

I wouldn't even know. HAHA.

I'd like to put some speaker grilles on the rear deck, but there's no such thing as 6x8 grilles since they're only for Ford/Mazda factory installs...so they never come with grilles. I might end up getting some MDF rings made, cover them with speaker fabric, & mount them to the package tray. My brother was giving me a hard time about it looking ghetto-fab. :jester:
