BBK headers

I installed a set of BBK shorties on an 01 gt for a customer today. It was a bitch. I used the gaskets that came with the headers. And I used a mix of the stock studs where I could and then the bbk bolts where I couldnt. So whats the chances these ****ers are gonna leak? The install is complete now and no leaks when I cranked it to check. I dont want to have to drop that k member again just tighten the bolts up.

Mine leak alittle at the collector but nothing serious to me. I have the longtubes but I used new ford gaskets.

I wish this guy would have used factory gaskets

yeah we did my buddies. got smart and left the kmemeber a tad loose on his 96 cobra and cranked it let it warm a bit then tightened them again and then tightened everything up. i hated the 8 piece thin metal gaskets he had. the layers kept wanting to fold up while moving the headers into place.

I had this thing on a lift at work and the k member totally out of it. And it was still a PITA.

i think my buddies were headman if i remeber right. it made it a bit easier around the starter because his had the break apart. but it was still pain in the @$$

Chances of leaking are good to great. Those suck. I have pics of mine when they blew out on my comp at home...Post later.
