Despite Ford saying the new 5.0 wouldn't like boost....
Procharger doesn't care

I really like how the new stangs get a seperate belt to run the supercharger, hated the older mod cars with the serpentine belt running the blower, nothing but trouble.

This is what I have been waiting to see. Now we will have to watch for long term testing and what problems arise.

I was watching a dyno video yesterday of a turbo 5.0. 6 PSI I believe. Over 500rwhp.
|
Not sure where you heard Ford saying that. FRPP has superchargers for the new 5.0 in their catalog. They claim 624hp w/ 9 psi. I'm guessing thats at the flywheel, so maybe 525 at the wheels.

the team who designed and built the engine said it.

I don't know why Ford doesn't put forged rods in the mustangs, they know what we are going to do with them.. :D
|
lol true. I'd pay an extra...what? $1000? to have the rods swapped in during the build.

Edit to my previous post: $55 per forged manely rod. That's what they cost ford. The regular non manley rods? $1.60. that's why they don't put forged rods in them.
