i have came across alot of this. has anyone ever cut Laxen? this is 48"long and 18" wide 1/4 thick. I am thinking about laying this in the trunk to hide fuel cell and mount msd and stuff to. Maybe a rear seat delete.

I assume you mean Lexan. (I edited the title for you.)

It's similar to cutting plexiglass. Use masking tape on both sides over the lines where you will be cutting. Avoid excess heat generated by cutting. Preferably use a band saw, but a jig saw or circular saw can be used if you watch the heat build-up.

. . . and if you have any extra sheets you want to get rid of, just let me know. ;)

:D

Lexan is the trade-name for Polycarbonate. Same plastic used to make CD's and DVD's because of its minimal optic distortion.

:agree: I made the top covers for our 72 gallon saltwater aquarium out of that stuff. I used my B&D jigsaw to cut it, and it worked great. I did'nt have to use masking tape though, as it already had the protective paper film stuff on it.

A router does the best job of cutting it but if you don't have one do what Brian said. It all depends if the edges are going to be seen or not.
