Was just doing a google of that and saw prices between 5400 - 7400. Hope it puts out big power for that price.

The only thing novel is the Antonov Mechanical Module.

One can easily search USPTO and find out how it works.

According to the file date, the AMM has been around for over 15 years. That makes me sort of suspicious as to the robustness of the design.

turbos are fun

(Thinking aloud here) So basically it spins faster under heavy throttle, but under normal conditions it spins slower to reduce the load on the engine (less load = less parasitic losses = better efficiency)...right? So what is the benefit of this over a turbocharger?

Benefit = an additional transmission to worry about breaking... :D
