Time to rebuild Suspension
Went to Holiday Beach Raceway thursday night and got to make one pass due to tearing some stuff up.
On the first pass the car hooked real good and that is where it ended. The whole way thru the 1/8th mile the D/S was grinding on the trans tunnel. Come to find out that the bushings in the rearend housing are now ripped in half. Oh well thats racing I guess. |
Re: Time to rebuild Suspension
You people need to stop breaking things and just drive the car for a change. :jester:
The bushings were probably dryrotted from sitting so long. |

Update:
Ended up having to order new control arms as well. The uppers were egg shaped in the area where the bushings inserts. All the urethane race bushings were split in half. These are the new uppers that I got: http://www.uprproducts.com/images/pa...CA_ALL_LRG.gif These are the new lowers that I got: http://www.uprproducts.com/images/pa...CA_ALL_LRG.gif |

Re: Time to rebuild Suspension
Total cost so far has been $620 for the rebuild. That is if I don't end up having to get and Anti-roll bar.
