Aeromotive A1000 pump install
 

anyone have any experience with installing one of these pumps? i got one and wondered if i can splice into the stock harness where the factory pump was wired or do i need to wire it all up new?

It would be best to connect the factory fuel pump wire to a relay as a trigger and run a separate fused power wire (12-14ga) from the battery to the relay as main power. That's how I did it in the cobra when I had 2 external pumps.

Factory wiring isn't adequate as a power supply to a pump like that.as wall said use the power side as a trigger and get a 30 amp relay at the least to use
