New AFR heads AND intakes!

From the thread on the Corral...

The other new product we brought is actually for a small Chevy, it is a dual plane intake...made of PLASTIC. Yes it works, has been on the dyno, and is quite amazing all around.
The reason I mention this, is we are of course planning on a couple Ford manifolds; a dual plane, and a single plane. We are also not forgetting about our injected guys, our goal is to have a Long runner, short runner, and box available with either a 5.0 or 5.8 stock deck height lowers.

The Chevy dual plane was 10hp and 10 ftlbs better then our competitor. We tested our prototype single plane (Aluminum of course) against the competitor, we picked up over 20 on both ends, we will see more in plastic due to temperature differences.

On a 14 second dyno pull, the surface temp of the aluminum manifold was 118 degrees, our plastic was a whopping 30 degrees cooler at 88....not too mention the weight went down from 16 to 9lbs. The weight savings will be huge on a bulky 5.0 style manifold.

We expect our full line to be out with-in a year, but are aiming for much less.

I will be at the SEMA show all day tomorrow, so please keep it as civilized as possible

Have a great day guys,
Jason

Yep I use the 1011-2's with both sets of my AFR heads.

I would like to see the shape of the intake ports and bowls!! Getting those flow numbers out of a measley 190cc intake runner volume is astounding!!! With those numbers, they could just drop the 165, 185, and 205 lines!

:werd: I might have to get a pair of those once I get the funds put back for some aluminum heads.
