Id sell that motive gear and get an frpp gear.
its the only set of 3.90's i could find...........
Whoever does the install needs to set them up tight then or they will make some serious noise
thats the only negative thing ive heard from the motive gears is whining noise i wanted the gears from frpp but i didnt want 3.73's and i thought 4.10's may be a little much for the driving i do so went with something in the middle car at the moment when doin 80 it is right at 2k rpms so i dont know what it will be at with a 17in. rim with 275/40 tire
I would run a 4.10 without a doubt.Put them in many daily driven cars with no issues
im just goin for something a little more agressive than the stocker i go to the strip like 4 times a year depending on how i feel and if my bud thinks he can whoop me i ownd him with my silver one then i got hit by a drunk...... 4 months later i got this crimson 03 gt it feels stock wise alot stronger dont know why though
i dont think its the motive gear whining. its the way the 3.90s are cut.

I installed motive 3.90's in GI Joe's Roush a few years ago. I don't recall a whining noise when we went for the test drive though. Also installed some motive 3.73's in mid 90's chevy truck for a guy I work with. He never mentioned a whine. But yeah on modular fords they bash the motive gears pretty hard about being noise makers |
well at this point in time when i get them installed im praying they wont whine and nothing goes wrong this is the first set of gears ive ever bought and gotten installed
