3.8 5 speed in a 91 5.0 info please

i have swapped several transmissions , plus rebuilt more than that. so i am no stranger to the t5.my question is somethin i have never done.will a 3.8 v6 5 speed and bellhousing fit in a 91 lx 5.0 ,the main question is i want to use the 3.8 bellhousing cause i dont wanna change the input shaft to go with the normal 5.0 bellhousing and i dont have a 94-95 5.0 bellhousing. any help would be greatly appreciated; i believe everything is correct and i will have no issues but i didnt figure it would hurt to ask!thanks again>

I think the bell housings are the same. Never tried it so I'm shooting in the dark. Along time ago I was told they would just swap right in but I never tried it. If it's not the same just use a 94 or 95 bell housing with the 3.8 trans.

94-95 3.8 t5 will bolt right up. Use the sn95 bellhousing to acommodate the longer inputshaft. I believe you will need a ds spacer though.

I have a co-worker doing the same mod. What is different in the V-6 bellhousing since it bolts right up.
The V-6 uses the same size flywheel/clutch setup. So everything should work without using the sn95 bell housing, correct?

I think you have to use the DS spacer when you put a fox T5 into a 94 or 95 not the other way around.

No, the V6 uses an 11" clutch setup.

Ummm what year v6 car you referring to? 11" clutches didn't start until 96.

all 3.8 from 95 up used 11 inch clutch with 164 tooth flywheel.you can use a truck flywheel and truck clutch setup from 87 up 2wd. so this is the way i will go!
