4.6 swap into 1965 fastback

I am looking for information from anyone that has done this type of swap.
I have been out of the car hobby for a while and am just getting back in .
I have a 2001 gt 4.6 drop out with all wiring for stock 01 mustang and would like to find someone to help elmenate what is not needed for this swap or would an after market peocessor be the way to go?
any help would be great.

:banghead:

Upon further review the play on the field has been overturned:slap: I looked and there really isn't that much actual "how to" on there sorry, it's still cool as h3ll though!

Seems to me that other than smog stuff you would need everything.

everything is pretty general term i probly should have said i have the stock harness and there are connectors that i do not know what they attach too .
I need to strip the harness down to the bare min and make the engine run like it should , IE... ecm imputs and gauge imputs wire color and pin number would also help. any ideas?

Are you familiar with 4.6's? One thing to consider is that the plugs are only going to plug into there respected sensor. In other words you can't cross them up.
Which harness do you have? Do you have the engine bay harness only? or do you have some of the other harnesses such as the fuel pump harness?

One thing to remember is that 99+ mustangs had a variable voltage fuel system instead of a return style like the pre-99's. So you will want to consider that when building your fuel system.
That's why in my previous post I mentioned that you pretty much use all of the connectors in the harness (if we are talking engine bay) or at least 90% of them.
Does that help answer your question?

I know you already have a 4.6 but this might be an easier swap with a 5.0
