No more ricer look
Finally got off my ass and painted my damn hood. Granted this was my first attempt at painting and was painting outside in the driveway with the hood hanging from and Engine hoist. Now just have to let it cure for a day and wet sand the clear and buff.

Hell yea. It'll buff fine. Did you clear with the gun too?
(do I see a career change in your future? :D ) Looks good! |

Re: No more ricer look
Yea, cleared with the gun as well. Primed with a different gun. Wet sanded the primer this morning and let the hood sun/air dry. Then took a cleaner and wipe the sanding residue off, applied 2 coats of base following the directions on the can, then 3 coats of clear with a 3-5 minutes flash time between coats.
Under side is painted as well. |
