Tilt on 92 Mustang LX?

After doing some searching I think I've found that it doesnt have tilt? Is this right? I found a nice 92 LX 5.0 that I may get, but I'm 6'4. I need the wheel to tilt so I can get in the thing, at least I'm pretty sure I do.

It seems the only way to get tilt it so switch in an 87-88 steering column or a 94+ steering column. I'd probably go with the older one, but is that a hard swap? Anyone done it?

Yes, it just takes time.

An 89 also has a tilt wheel. It also has mass air that the 87 and 88 dont have (other than the 88 cali. car.)

In 1991 when the Fox cars started coming with air bags, Ford did away with the tilt until '94.
Not sure why, perhaps they could not pass a gov. test or something, or perhaps it was cost.

I am 6'1 and had no problem with my '91.
As Blown 89 said the wheel sits up pretty high, I would go drive it and see how it feels.

I'm 6'3" I've hit my head on the roof-seal but never hit the steering wheel/column stuff. You won't have any problem. The tilt wheels get sloppy feeling anyways.
