Regardless of whether or not it ticks, improving the circulation of the coolant into the cylinder head is still a good thing. Mine didn't tick, and I did the cooling mod anyway.

The fog light assembly just screws into the plastic bezel from the back if I remember right. I had to replace the driver's side fog light on mine because the lawn crew at my old apartment complex...
