According to the dealership, the mustang 8.8 went to this bearing in Feb 09. And it is the same as the GT500

It is actually shorter with more taper. I will try and remember to take pics when we get the new one. The original was destroyed during removal of it from the pinion to get to the original pinion...

After further research this may have been borrowed from the GT500. It appears they use a similar style bearing since their introduction.

Ford changed the inner pinion bearing design in 2010 GT's.

So, if you happen to do any gear installations like I did today, order a pinion bearing first as they are not readily available at your...
