heater core woes

the heater core in my 89 5.0 left me a gift in my floor board ........ is it worth trying at home ive never replaced one in a mustang ive got it bypassed
but its kinda cold .....thankful for any...

i think that there is a nominal impedance (ohms) resistance that the ecu needs to see open/close for it to be "fooled" you may need a resistor between the leads other than just a hard short which is...

and he said that he would do the cowl work (replace it) and strip/paint my whole car including the door jams for about...

i have done plenty of swaps from mass air 5.0 to 4 cyl cars(mustangs)
but this is a new can of worms ,being that getting rid of duraspark and needing high fuel pressure this would change throttle...

the main thing i was wondering about was if the 306 would have enough torque to do the truck justice

advance autoparts sells a fel pro version , blue silicone, w/ a steel core they are not that expensive and are in stock most of the time ....i have reused then several times w/ no problems they are...

nope it does fine under load...

yeah ..new holley 2 barrel (power valve is probably shot now )
a timeing chain ,and harmonic balancer ...... we will see if it has jumped time

i was thinking that it could have a large carbon buildup on top of an intake valve keeping it from closeing completely during power stroke.... i have checked timeing and fuel
and if one back fire...

i know this is windsor tech ,and a 400 in a 1977 pick up is not windsor tech
but its close enough ......
i have a old wore out (most likely my problem) 400 in my 4x4 and it keeps
back fireing...
