From what I hear, one of the best things you can do is the PI conversion. RTGreen did that to his 96 GT.

4.6 Thunderbird

Are the 4.6s in the 94 Thunderbirds the same as in the 96-98 Mustangs? A corworker of mine recently got a good deal on a 94 Tbird LX (I assume its a 4.6). However the car does have a couple problems...

That one reminds me a lot of the FR500s on the Mustang. I know they make that one in my size but the offset is just a tad off from the factory, but it should still work from what I was told. Those...

Tire Saavy People

Does anybody know if a tire with a width of 225 would fit on a 8.5 inch wide wheel safely? I know the width of my current wheel is 7.5 and Ive been looking around for some new wheels, but I want to...

Im not familiar with the Ford IRS, but I know that problem is common on the 98+ Fbodies and even on the C5s. I had the same problem with my old Z28 while it was under warrenty. They said if I hadn't...

Re: What is in style now??

Is it illegal to have a small strip of tint across the top of the windshield? My Mustang had a strip like that and it was installed by a state trooper.

Re: am i over waxing?

You need to try to get bugs off as soon as possible. If you let them set too long, they will become set into your paint and actually will eat away at a little bit of the paint. When this occurs, the...

Re: am i over waxing?

Im not too sure about using the Turtle Wax stuff that often. Many OTC 'waxes' are synthetic waxes with some cleaning agents mixed in with them. Each time you use an abrasive product, it takes off...

Re: Bugs on front bumper

Ive used the Turtle Wax spray on bug remover before. It does OK, but nothing super special. Once bugs have been on there long enough, they get baked into your paint and you will have to use an...

Re: claybar ??

Sitting in the garage will help. You should have seen my g/f's car before I came along. It was exposed to the elements 24/7, hadn't been waxed since they bought it in late 2001, was often sprayed off...

Re: claybar ??

I seriously doubt it will. Most 'carnauba' wax you buy in a store doesn't have the concentration of carnauba as products like S100, P2S1, and Pinnacle Souverian. I doubt you want to buy Pinnacle...

Re: claybar ??

Oh yeah, one last tidbit. Shorty, I dont know what kind of 'wax' you are using, but most of the over-the-counter stuff such as Meguiars Gold Class and NXT are not true waxes. They are either...

Re: claybar ??

I really like the Clay Magic claybar kit. It seemed to do better for me than the Meguiars. The only change I would recommend to your attack is the use of Dawn. The claybar should remove a lot of the...

Re: Tires.....ASAP!

I would say the GSD3s are the better tire out of those two choices. C5 guys really like them as an upgrade from the stock Goodyear runflats, but they can be a little pricey. Another option, if your...

Re: Might be time for a clay bar

I like the Clay Magic clayber. You can pick it up from Autozone, so you will save $$$ and hassle from not having to have it shipped.

Re: Meguires Tech Wax

Re: New tires for the SVT focus.............

Im really thinking about going with Kumhos on my C5 too. You can pick up a Kumho MX EMT tire for around $170ish each for my fronts and $230ish for the rear. Thats pretty good for a set of runflats.

Re: Meguires Tech Wax

It does pretty good. Thats why I now use when I detail cars for customers, but on my personal cars, I still prefer Wolfgang products.

Re: PakShak Waffle Weave and Microfiber Towels

I finally got to try out the MF detailing cloth today while doing something to my glass roof panel. They rock! Once you start using them, there is no turning back to terry cloth!
