You'll be well into a nice SVO by the time you get a swap into a "regular" stang. I wouldn't bother with it. But many people try.

I know two guys in B'ham area who each have SVO's one is an '84 with all '86 updates; he's owned it since new. The other is an '86.

Both of the cars have T3/T4 turbo, front-mount ic, exhaust, fuel pump, A237 (FRPP) cam, and supporting hardware. At blakes, they lay down right around 300 to the tires. I've seen them go low 13's...perfectly streetable too.
