I used to run a March ram air, and never had any issues except in my own driveway, which was a pretty extreme entry/exit angle.
It was mounted right below the foglight as far forward as possible.
Nevertheless, I'd still like to see them made out of mold plastic, to be a little more "foregiving" in case something dinged them.
