I did the same thing on my Turbo Coupe, but I used Fabreeze. Car was previously owned by my grandma (who chain smoked) and there was a serious mildew smell. I took the heater box apart when I did the core and cleaned it out. Took a lot of cleaning to get it to smell normal, but with a new vehicle and non-smoker, a little Lysol should do the trick.
