post a pic! There are many places to mount one on a mustang so go at it. Ebay is still a good source for piping. Buy good clamps and 3 or 4 ply hose connectors.
Later you can have some one weld up the tubing. 2.5 is big enough.
Most of the time the IC is just a heat sink but the more air you can get on it the better.
I have 2.25 off the turbo and then 3" off the IC to the Tb. Very little lag, Thanks to Coupe!!
Also helped on the install.
