In my 00GT automatic, i ran 4.10s and at 80mph you are pushing around 2700rpm. I still got 21-22 on strictly freeway. Probably 14-15 around town.

I would do suspension stuff first (SBC's, LCA's, Springs, CC plates, Struts etc.)
Then basic bolt-ons (pullies, CAI, plenum, exhaust)
Then Gears and/or wheels/tires if changing size (and have custom tune done at that time).

Get with Doug904 from Bamachips on the tune. He's local, does a hell of a job and has some great tunes for SOHC PI cars as well as doing wonders with the auto tranny. They wont be dissapointed.
